Friends, popsicles and boo-boo's.

This weekend we choose to stay home and do some things around the house and well...just be home. Friday Kalei's little friend Carli came and played for the day. The kids had a great time together. I took them to this great park in Florence(I know..... I'm super Mom...ha ha) and then they spent the rest of the day playing in the water. Carli and Kalei especially enjoyed "sun-tanning".

I have gotten myself addicted to these Lime Popsicles made by Dreyer....OH they are so good!!! Jackson was having licks off of one, it was so funny because he would take a lick and then he smacks his lips. I finally caught it on tape.

Jackson received his first facial injury Saturday night. Big Sister Kalei was trying to be helpful and was moving(as in carrying) Jackson to a different room. I think she was actually running or something, she tripped and Jackson smacked his head on a toy and cut his eye right below his eyebrow. We got the bleeding to stop and decided he probably didn't need any stitches. We figured he would pull at a real band-aid so thanks to the suggestion of a friend we found this great stuff called liquid band-aid and put it on his wound. It's a little swollen but hasn't turned black or blue yet.

Sunday because the weather was kinda crappy and because I can only spend so much time in the house on weekends(I'm home all week so on weekends I get a little stir crazy) we decided to go for a drive. We drove up to Lolo Pass to the Visitor Center and drove out on this road called Elk Meadow's road. The visitor center is pretty cool and I would highly recommend stopping there if you ever drive over Lolo Pass when it is open. We were trying to find the Lochsa River from this way in(not on Highway 12). Needless to say we didn't turn on the right road but we still had a great drive and saw some beautiful mountains. The girls loved the waterfalls. We were hoping to see some wildlife...you know like a Moose or something....no such luck. We did finally see two turkeys but that was on Highway 12 on the way home. We do know which road to take on our next tour so maybe we'll find the Lochsa next time. (p.s. Jackson is not in any of these because he is always asleep each time we stop)

We had to stop and through some rocks into this creek. The name of this creek was called the Brushy Fork....isn't that funny!
