Father's Day Weekend

FINALLY!
Camping in the Sun!
THANK YOU MOTHER NATURE!

Family picture at Seeley Lake.

Kids pose for picture at Seeley Lake.

Mom trying to be a photgrapher. Cute picture even though you can barely see Jackson.

Taking a break from riding bikes to pose for pictures.

Mr. Cherry Chomper. He is the best $9.00 gadget I've ever bought. Isn't he cute? He's a little messy from his work chomping cherry pits in this pic, he has since been all cleaned up and tucked away nicely for the next batch of cherrys.

Workin Mr. Chomper

Our beautiful view all day Saturday!

Even Toby took a swim.

Mr. Jackson helping himself to some chips and dip. Must have been good.

Beach Baby
We had a fun weekend and can't wait to go again! Here we come 4th of July! Oh yeah, I also had my longest run of our marathon training scheduled for this weekend. Luckily I had my trusty running partner Stephanie with me. We had, by far, our most enjoyable and most beautiful run yet. I feel so fortunate to have been able to do that run in Seeley Lake Montana with blue skys and views of the snow capped mountains for the whole 12 miles. That was our last long run until the big day, July 11th. Until then the runs are shorter. BRING IT ON HALF MARATHON!!!! Before this training started I would have never imagined running 12 miles..... Who does that? It's kind of nuts.....in fact it's so nuts that I am doing another one in December!

Chatter Box

This is our ride in the car 8 miles from Missoula to Lolo tonight:

Jackson: Where's my paper? I got an owie, I hurt. See Mommy.
Mommy: Yes Jackson, it's almost gone now.
Jackson: I got to feed baby cow, Grandpa's Farm. Again. Right Daddy? Right Mommy?(this statement repeated several times)
Us: Yes Jackson
Jackson: Grandpa Paul at the farm?
Us: No Jackson, Grandpa Dallas is at the farm, Grandpa Paul is in Pocatello.
Jackson: why?
Jackson: naa naa la boo boo....NAA NAA LA BOO BOO......NAA NAA LA BOO BOO....NAA NAA LA BOO BOO. (this continued to get louder and louder the last 3 miles)
Us: Jackson, we shouldn't say that. It's not very nice. (he stopped listening to us at this point)

At least it's just an 15minute drive.

P.S. as we were getting ready to leave the house tonight he says "Yay! Pizza Hut!"
I have no idea where he got that. The kid has been to Pizza Hut maybe one time in his life!

Hey may be a comedian when he grows up!

Memorial Weekend

This year for Memorial Weekend we went to Idaho for a graduation party and some quality family time. At least we picked a good year not to go camping since it has been raining for the last 5 weeks.....ok maybe not, but that's what it feels like. I understand that winter and spring lasts a long time in Montana....but seriously this is getting a bit depressing. I mean....we haven't even had one shorts weather day! Ok....onto what this post was really supposed to be about.

We left Lolo on Friday and headed to Idaho. It was a nice "rainy" drive. Hannah had been sick with the flu a day or so earlier. She still wasn't feeling 100% so I decided that I would give her some motrin before we left........BIG MISTAKE......she ended up car sick. The first time she told us she was going to be sick and we were able to pull over and let her get out. She said felt a little better after walking around so back in the car we go. Five minutes later......this time....not so much warning. For any of you that have driven Highway 12 over Lolo Pass you know there are not a lot of great places to pull over. Luckily we left town early so we weren't rushed for time. We did manage to still have time to stop at Three Rivers for a "pit stop" and to visit with some friends and then finally on to Grandpa and Grandma's!

Here Uncle Kenny attempts to teach the girls how to dance at the Graduation Party.

Some of the Fam at the party. Aren't we cute!

Devon and I with Graduate Todd. What a handsome guy!

Jackson with his cousin Teegyn.....one day apart and he is still shorter! He is a little shorty!

Me and my sweet Aunt Barb

Saturday morning ride on the 4-wheeler.

The highlight of the weekend for the kids...mostly Jackson was getting to feed the "baby calf" Jackson tells us and anyone who will listen "Grandpa's farm...I got to feed baby cow" . This will be our topic of conversation for a couple weeks now.

The Garage Project:

After

Dan and Mom pretending to work.

Painting soon turned into tree trimming.

Hmmm....which one can I get next?

The kids stayed entertained by the tent we put up for them to play in.

The highlight of the trip was seeing "Swiper the Fox" at the Lolo Pass visitors center. I thought it would have been pretty funny to get a video of the kids yelling at the fox "Swiper, no swiping. Swiper, no swiping!" Of course I didn't think that thought until we were all loaded back up into the car.
